Cyprus Defence Minister in Paris and Moscow

Costas Papacostas, Cypriot Minister of Defence, has had a meeting with the Republic’s newly appointed Military Attaches in Paris and Moscow.

According to an official press release, issued here today by the Ministry of Defence, Artillery Lieutenant – Colonel Harris Georgiou and Wing-Commander Filokypros Yiannaki, will officially assume office at the embassies of the Republic of Cyprus in Paris and Moscow respectively, by the end of August 2008.

At the meeting on Friday, Papacostas wished them every success and asked them to work towards strengthening the excellent bilateral relations between Cyprus, France and Russia, especially on defence issues.
