CYPRUS: Industrial production drops in first eight months of 2014

Industrial production in Cyprus dropped by 0.8% in the first eight months of 2014 compared with the same period of the previous year, data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service, on Thursday, show.

The Index of Industrial Production for August 2014 was recorded at 66.8 units (base 2010=100), dropping by 0.5% compared to August 2013.

For the period January – August 2014, the index was down by 0.8% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

In Manufacturing, the index for August 2014 reached 54.8 units, dropping by 3.0% compared to August last year.
