City Markets, a new flea market festival in Cyprus

By combining bargain deals, an assortment of different products, and entertainment, while promoting Cypriot products and local culture, City Markets brings its own twist to the trendy local market movements with fun for all visitors and participants alike.
City Markets will be organizing festivals in various areas of Nicosia and surrounding cities at least once a month, with the Grand Opening festival to be held at the Park of the Citadel in Strovolos on September 7, between the hours of 0900-1800. Part of the proceeds raised by City Markets each time will be given to a different charity, with the first charity to benefit being "Polydinamo Center of Strovolos" for the enhancement of “food banks” (koinonika pantopolia) for the families in need.
Our goal is to offer a new avenue for small businesses to showcase their products, breeding a sense of optimism for local economies and ordinary citizens that find themselves visiting a City Markets event. These events offer consumers the opportunity to take advantage of great deals and services, enjoy the various entertainment offered at every event, all while supporting local business within these communities.
Who we are: We are a group of young people that in light of the recent crisis experienced in our land, insist on working towards renewing hope, striving for the best, and celebrating what we have. Each one of us here at City Markets through our different ideas and backgrounds, strive to place our own building block towards the betterment of our communities, while providing hope and smiles to our fellow citizens!
Investments: At City Markets everyone can participate from: any size businesses, municipal governments, individuals who work at home or even people who want to sell items that are no longer needed (such as vintage or second-hand items).
