Cyprus trade deficit falls in Jan-Feb 2013

Trade deficit decreased by 100 mln euros during the first two months of 2013, standing at 577.97 mln, from 677.92 mln during the same period last year, the Statistical Service announced on Tuesday.

This is a result of a decrease by 80 mln in imports (799.71 mln) and an increase of 22 mln in exports (221.74 mln) in January and February.
Moreover, according to preliminary estimates for Foreign Trade of Cyprus in February 2013, total imports/arrivals were 391,6 mln, of which 273,9 mln were arrivals from other EU member states and 117,7 mln imports from Third Countries.
