BOCY Group Chief GM gets added duties

Vassos Shiarly, Group Chief General Manager of the Bank of Cyprus, will undertake new and wider responsibilities from the New Year.
The bank announced that Shiarly has agreed to a two-year contract that comes into effect on January 1, whereby he will have the overall responsibility for major businesses in Cyprus and large financing projects overseas, such as those in Russia, Romania, Ukraine, the U.K. and Australia, where the Group operates 252 of the total 567 branches.
He will also be wholly responsible for the Group’s overseas operations in Australia, the U.K. and the Channel Islands.
