Cyprus President wraps up his official visit to Qatar

President of the Republic of Cyprus Demetris Christofias concludes Thursday his official visit to Qatar heading a multi-member delegation.

President Christofias accompanied by his spouse and the members of the Cypriot delegation will pay a visit to the under construction artificial island of Qatar, bearing the name ''Pearl''.

President and delegation will be welcomed at the building site of the project by Panicos Petrides, on behalf of the Cypriot construction company, which assumed part of the construction works of the project.

Later on, Petrides will host lunch in honour of President of the Republic Demetris Christofias and the First Lady, who accompanied him on the official visit to Qatar.

In the afternoon, President Christofias and the delegation will visit the Qatar Science and Technology Park and the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha.

Additionally, Christofias will also give interviews to the local press and the news network Al Jazeera.

The President is due back to Cyprus tonight.
