Cyprus Airways and Eurocypria to improve tourist accessibility to Cyprus

Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Antonis Paschalides met on Tuesday with the leadership of the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO), Cyprus Airways and Eurocypria, with a view to achieve better tourist accessibility to Cyprus.
Speaking after the meeting, Paschalides said they reached decisions in order to promote better coordination and improve cooperation, aimed at greater accessibility for tourists, with more connections and better services, taking into considerations the interests and intentions of Cyprus Airways and Eurocypria.
Asked if they discussed the implementation of ''open skies'' plan, Paschalides said technocrat meetings have been arranged and that the first results were expected the soonest possible.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cyprus Airways Kikis Lazarides said Cyprus Airways should be ready within a few weeks to develop their flight schedule for next summer, noting that the company was also examining its fleet, to which an A-319 named “Larnaca” was added yesterday.
Vice-Chairman of Eurocypria Panicos Neophytou said the meeting was useful and constructive, and expressed certainty that it would help the situation in Cyprus as regards tourism.
