Cyprus industrial production up 5.2% Jan-July

The index of industrial production for July 2008 reached 140.1 (base 2000=100), according to the Statistical Service.
For July 2008, the index recorded an increase of 5.8% compared with July 2007.
For the period January – July 2008, the index recorded a rise of 4.2% compared with the same period of the previous year.
For manufacturing, the index for July 2008 reached 131.7, recording an increase of 8.1% compared with July 2007.
Meanwhile, the industrial output prices index for August 2008 reached 142.1 (base 2000=100), recording an increase of 0.4% compared with July 2008.
For the period January-August 2008, the index increased by 10.0% compared with the period January-August 2007.
For manufacturing, the price index for August 2008 reached 138.8, recording an increase of 0.4% compared with July 2008.
