Cyprus tourism revenue rebounds in June

After three months of decline, revenue from tourism in June 2008 rebounded by 10.7% over June the previous year to reach EUR 229.6 mln.
Tourism arrivals in the same month also rebounded, rising by 8.8% over the year earlier to 307,237.
Taking the whole year to date, tourism revenue is still depressed compared with 2007, however.
In the period January – June 2008 revenue from tourism is estimated to have fallen by 0.7% to EUR 671.9 mln, from EUR 676.4 mln in the corresponding period of 2007.
Tourism arrivals in the same period rose by 2.7%.
