British Airways is currently analysing a number of creative ideas put forward by the young consultants of its Kids’ Council, to assess if they can further develop the quality of service and products available to young travellers.
A new meeting of the 12-member Kids’ Council – of which 12-year-old Pavlos Dekatris from Nicosia is a member – will take place on August 7 at London Heathrow to review the ideas pitched by at the two previous meetings. The ideas focussed on how travelling with the airline could be made more enjoyable for children of their own age. As a result of Kids’ Council ideas regarding a new approach to food served on board, BA has already introduced its new ‘Taste Team’ represented by six hospitality experts.
“I don’t yet know whether any of my ideas will be adopted. If that happens, of course I will be very proud. On the other hand, I won’t feel disappointed if my ideas aren’t followed through, as I strongly believe that it is group efforts which mostly give the best results,” said Pavlos Dekatris.
“All members of the Kids’ Council worked really hard and suggested some very good ideas. Even if they only materialize in part, I’m sure it will help children travelling with the airline to have an even more enjoyable time,” he added.
