A delegation of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEVE), headed by its president Manthos Mavrommatis, departed for Iran on Thursday.
The delegation comprises businesspeople active in the construction and finance sectors, involved in general business activities between the two countries.
The participation of the Cyprus Stock Exchange in the delegation is of special importance, since it will be holding contacts with the Iranian stock exchange to explore cooperation prospects.
Furthermore, the Research Promotion Foundation will be having meetings with the respective organisation in Iran in order to promote cooperation in the field of research.
The initiative of KEVE to organise such a mission is described as an historic event, since it is the first of its kind and will create the preconditions for the establishment and development of cooperation between Cypriot and Iranian businesspeople.
