Cyprus President wraps up state visit to Romania

By Nicos Markides (CNA) – Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos wraps up his state visit to Romania on Wednesday with a meeting with Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tarikeanu.

He is accompanied by Commerce, Industry and Tourism Minister Antonis Michaelides and a 65-strong business delegation including representatives of the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEV) and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEVE).

Later in the day, the President will visit the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to address the Romanian-Cypriot Business Forum.
Papadopoulos will also visit the Patriarch’s Palace to meet with Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church Teoctist and then he will go to the Bucharest City Hall to meet with the General Mayor of Bucharest, Adriean Videanu and the Council of the Municipality. The president will be presented with the Key of the City of Bucharest and will sign in the Book of Honour.

President Papadopoulos will visit the Village Museum ”Dimitrie Gusti” and in the evening he will attend a reception on the occasion of the opening of a branch of the Bank of Cyprus.
