CPA British Branch delegation to visit Cyprus

A seven member delegation of the British branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) arrives to Cyprus on Monday for a four-day visit, at the invitation of Cyprus House of Representatives.

Labour MP Andew Dismore will be heading the delegation. Other members of the delegation will be Lord Anderson, Lord Kilclooney and Lord Morris, as well as deputies Piara Khabra and Peter Viggers. The delegation will be accompanied by Paul Jackson, Assistant Secretary of the CPA British Branch.

During its stay in Cyprus, the delegation will be received by Cyprus House President Demetris Christofias and will have separate meetings with Cypriot Finance Minister Michalis Sarris, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Antonis Michaelides and with the Director of the Cyprus Question and Euro-Turkey Affairs Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Erato Markoullis.

The delegation will also hold separate meetings with members of the CPA Cypriot Branch and with the Deputy Mayors of Nicosia and Famagusta Stelios Ieronymides and Andreas Shiopahas, respectively.
