The Recognition Marks the Second Time in 3 Months That This Ultra-High-Performance Programmable Timing Device Has Received a Prestigious Industry Award
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDT®) (NASDAQ: IDTI) announced today that it has won another industry award for its Universal Frequency Translator family (UFT), this latest recognition coming from UBM Tech’s prestigious EDN China publication. The industry-leading UFT clocking family won the publication’s Innovation Award as one of the “Top 10 Most Influential Technologies for the Future.” With eight programmable outputs and RMS phase jitter of less than 300 femtoseconds (fs), the UFT products are powerful, flexible devices ideal for high-performance optical networks, wireless base stations and 100 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) interface applications.
Winners were selected through a combination of online voting and evaluation by a panel of experts and editors. The awards were handed out at a ceremony June 27 in Shanghai.
In April, UBM Tech’s EE Times and EDN recognized the UFT timing solutions with an ACE Award in the “Ultimate Products” category. Five months earlier, the products made EDN’s prestigious “Hot 100” list in the analog product category.
“With their high-level of integration and flexibility, our UFT devices help system designers save cost and board area by consolidating a variety of functions into a single device,” said Louise Gaulin, vice president and general manager, Network Communications Division at IDT. “Our leading timing products, such as the UFT devices, enable rapid deployment of high-performance clock trees required by communication systems.”
IDT’s 8T49N28x UFT family is the industry’s first single-chip programmable solution capable of generating eight different output frequencies and with less than 300 fs RMS phase jitter over the standard 12 kHz to 20MHz integration range. The devices offer independently programmable clocking outputs with the flexibility to apply virtually any input frequency and select virtually any output frequency. The high level of integration and low jitter eliminates the need for separate jitter attenuation, frequency translation, and redundancy management – empowering engineers to save cost and board area through consolidation.
With a product portfolio 10 times greater and broader than any other, IDT is the world’s leader in silicon timing and is in a unique position to address the needs of virtually any application. With the industry’s largest market share, IDT is the only one-stop-shop for timing, offering products from full-featured system solutions to simple clock building-block devices. Factory-programmable options and clock solution customization capabilities address unique customer requirements, while the lowest jitter and lowest power features set IDT apart from the competition. Products are accompanied by a world-class support team driven by service and responsiveness goals.
