Aptina Purchases CFA Processing and Probe Imaging Assets from Micron Technology

Purchase brings strategic capabilities and world-class talent in-house to Aptina, enabling accelerated cycle times and an improved cost structure.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Aptina has entered an agreement to purchase CFA (Color Filter Array) processing and probe imaging assets from Micron Technology, Inc. In addition, Aptina will lease from Micron the Nampa, Idaho fabrication facility known as Fab 9D where the CFA processing is located.

The purchase is expected to close in the third quarter of this calendar year.
