JAC in Spotlight at Beijing Auto Show

HEFEI, China--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- JAC Motors will proudly reveal a selection of new vehicles to the global auto-industry at the upcoming 14th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. The Beijing Auto Show has become a world renowned A-class exhibition over the past two decades, allowing brands like JAC to reveal home-grown innovations to a now-revitalizing global auto industry.

JAC has been laboring for the past year to further diversify its product range and improve the features and designs of vehicles that already enjoy success. Therefore, JAC will feature a variety of passenger and commercial vehicles, including the 2014 editions of top-sellers such as the J6, J5 and S5. Along with these, JAC will reveal the new A6 and IEV5 model, and the SC-9 concept vehicle.

The SC-9 is based on the GT SUV concept, and enjoys elements derived from cross-country vehicles, racing and luxury cars. The car’s Italian designer explains that the “S9 doesn’t just have a distinctive exterior appearance, but also enjoys a groundbreaking gesture interactive system which spotlights JAC’s innovative streak.”

JAC’s new spacious A6 comes in either a 1.5T GDI or a 2.0T VVT four cylinder option. The maximum power is 128kw/1800-4500rpm, with the 2.0T VVT engine providing and extra 12kw. The A6’s design borrows from the international trend of featuring a big mouthed grill.

The biggest surprise will be JAC’s IEV5, which becomes the company’s fifth generation electric vehicle. Reaching speeds of 120km/h and a distance of 200km during urban driving conditions, the IEV5 meets the genuine demands of modern drivers.

JAC will also release two more vehicles later this year: the S30 and the M3. The M3 boasts a clever and flexible seat combination, allowing a shift from 8 to 7 seats to make more room for transporting goods or passengers.

The S30 combines power and security with its 1.5L engine and CVT reaching a maximum 83kw/6000rpm, and exerting a maximum torque of 146Nm/3600-4500rpm. The car is built with 55% high-strength steel, 42% extra high-strength steel and 5% super strength steel, and conforms to European second stage pedestrian protection.

JAC will also feature a broad range of commercial vehicles. JAC’s high-end commercial vehicles include the N-series which boasts Cummins and Maxx force engines, and whose emissions have achieved Euro V standard. The N-series also includes the latest international Bosch ABS+EBD, providing a more reliable driving guarantee.

The release of these new vehicles allows JAC to show the industry how the company’s focus on “integrity and quality, technology and life” has been achieved. JAC welcome those interested to join their team at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition from 20-29 April.
