ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Mandiant®, the leader in security incident response management, today announced the expansion of its European operations including a new office in the London area, key hires to direct sales in the region and new agreements with channel partners. The announcement was made in London at the opening of the Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit, where Mandiant is exhibiting on 18th-19th October.
“Organizations in Europe and around the world are routinely compromised by attackers that seek to steal their financial assets and intellectual property,” said Mandiant Chief Executive Officer Kevin Mandia. “Mandiant is committed to helping organizations across Europe attack their security gap by equipping them with the tools, intelligence and expertise required to find and stop attackers that bypass their preventive computer security measures.”
To support its expansion in Europe, Mandiant has appointed Mike East as director of sales and Nik Churchley as director of channel sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Mike East has 20 years of experience in the global technology industry and brings extensive knowledge of security, mobility, cloud and SaaS solution sales. Mike has held a number of senior EMEA sales management roles, most recently with Symantec. Nik Churchley, with more than a decade of technology experience, has successfully built partner and customer relationships across Europe and the Middle East to support new business growth in both existing and emerging EMEA markets. They will be based in the newly opened Mandiant UK office located at 200 Brook Drive, Green Park, Reading RG2 6UB.
In addition, to meet the growing demand for its products, Mandiant announced that it has entered into an agreement with Exclusive Networks, a pan-European value added distributor focused on innovative security solutions. As part of the agreement, Exclusive Networks will sell Mandiant products through their network of resellers across Europe including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Scandinavia.
Mandiant was one of only four companies certified by the UK Government to respond to cyber security attacks via a “Cyber Incident Response,” pilot program launched in 2012 by CESG, the Information Security Arm of GCHQ, and the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI). Expanding its presence in the United Kingdom will enable Mandiant to more effectively service clients.
Mandiant’s rapidly expanding European presence builds on its existing operations in Dublin, Ireland where Mandiant maintains an engineering and Security Operations Center (SOC) to support its global customer base.
