Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos arrives on Saturday in Cyprus for an official visit on the occasion of a youth programme organised for the third year by the Church of Cyprus, involving young people from the Patriarchates of the Middle East.
On Sunday, Patriarch Theosophilos and Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos II will jointly lead a liturgy at St. Nicholas of the Roof church in Kakopetria.
After the liturgy, they will visit the camping site of St. Nicholas in Kakopetria, where the young people participating in the programme are hosted, to talk and exchange views with them.
Furthermore, they will hold a press conference to express their concerns about the situation of Christians living in the broader Middle East region, in the range of the ongoing political and socio-economic changes.
The Patriarch of Jerusalem and his entourage will depart from Cyprus on Sunday.
