Lufthansa strike to affect Cyprus flights

Eight Lufthansa flights from and to Larnaca international airport will be affected due to a strike by the German company`s pilots` union. Disruptions concern flights from and to Frankfurt and Munich airports.

According to Hermes Airports spokesman, Adamos Aspris, the eight flights – four departures and four arrivals - were scheduled between the early hours of Wednesday, April 2 and Friday afternoon, April 4.

The airliner is already informing its passengers, the spokesman said. The strike is expected to affect a total of 425.000 Lufthansa passengres, German media report.
