Cyprus’ trade deficit was recorded at €4,320.0 million in January-December 2012 compared to €4,906.5 million in the corresponding period of 2011.
According to data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service in its monthly report on Trade Statistics total imports/arrivals, from EU and third countries in the period between January-December 2012, amounted to €5,740.5 million as compared to €6,310.5 million in January-December 2011.
Total exports/dispatches in both EU and third countries in January-December 2012 were €1,420.5 million compared to €1,404.0 million in January-December 2011.
Trade deficit was recorded at €4,320.0 million in January-December 2012 compared to €4,906.5 million in the corresponding period of 2011.
During December 2012 total imports/arrivals, from both EU and third countries were valued at €425.3 million.
Total exports/dispatches, including stores and provisions, in December 2012 amounted to €101.9 million.
Εxports/dispatches of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions, were €47.5 million whilst exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, were €54.4 million.
