Twelve new cases of H1N1 flu confirmed in Cyprus

Twelve new cases of H1N1 flu have been confirmed in Cyprus, increasing the total cases to 70, Cyprus Health Ministry announced on Thursday. Eight of the new cases concern Cypriots.

According to the press release, until now laboratory tests for 151 persons with flu symptoms have been conducted and 70 of them have been diagnosed with H1N1 flu.

According to the press release the flow of the incidents is fully monitored and there is no reason for concern. The ministry noted that despite the fact that the new flu has taken a pandemic dimension, and the number cases is expected to grow, the symptoms of the flu remain mild.
