Cyprus participated with great success in the European Film Festival that took place from 8 May until 4 June in South Africa and in Namibia from 26 May until 12 June with the movie “Honey and Wine” by Marinos Kartikis.

An official announcement said Cyprus’ participation took place in the framework of the events organized by the EU offices in Pretoria, South Africa and in Namibia, on the occasion of Europe Day.

All movies that were part of the festival were presented in the biggest towns of South Africa. Diplomats, Cypriots living overseas and scores of people watched the Cypriot movie and expressed great reviews.
