Cyprus motor regs slow to 4.5% in January-November

December 11, 2008

The growth of motor vehicle registrations in Cyprus slowed to 4.5% in the first 11 months of the year, from 6.4% in the first ten months, as registrations in November dropped by 15.8% compared with November 2007.
The total number of registrations reached 63,784 in January - November 2008, compared with 61,041 in January - November 2007.
Registrations have been quite volatile in 2008, rising in some months but falling in others. However, the overall trend is down after a tax-induced bumper year in 2007, when registrations rose by 33.1%.
