"Job description: Vedior-Select Cyprus, on behalf of its client, an international tax consulting firm specialising in conferences, accounting, administrative and legal services, is seeking to recruit a Head of Accounting Department.

Responsibilities include:

•Excellent opportunities to receive professional training both in Cyprus and abroad.
•Key role in small, rapidly growing team
•Manage work of subordinates (which will include other qualified accountants)
•Direct communication with clients from various countries including Canada, U.K., Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden.
•Handling of client meetings
•Preparing statutory IFRS Financial Statements for clients
•Preparing tax computations and IR4 for clients
•Preparing VAT returns for clients
•Client billing
•Ad hoc duties as assigned

Qualifications required: Candidate Profile:

•Qualified ACA, ACCA, AIA or equivalent (1-2 years post-qualification preferred)
•Good knowledge of IFRSs and preparation of accounting records for Cyprus International Business Companies (IBCs)
•Good knowledge of Cyprus taxation and VAT
•Experience with IBCs will be considered an advantage
•Excellent knowledge of the English language is essential. Knowledge of Greek will be considered an advantage
